Hey there, I’m Glennavelle—a survivor fueled by the thrill of exploration and the art of innovative life adventures and curiosity. My journey is a tapestry woven with the vibrant threads of faith, travel, style, fashion, food and a relentless pursuit of breaking free from a poor me mindset and creating a better version of me.
Hello my name is Glennavelle Manarang, the owner of this website titled, “Soulish Femme.” Perhaps, you might be wondering, how I came up with the name, I don’t know, it just dawned on me out of the blue. Maybe it sounds a bit cliche or corny. But it doesn’t matter.
So, you have decided to find out who is behind this blog so let me properly tell you about me in no particular order. First and foremost, femme derived in French word means “wife.” A wife that has a tad bit soul-ish for I am still somewhat in between healing from the old wounds to recreating my new version of myself. However, despite the pain I endured, it’s still a miracle to me that I am still alive today and has given this opportunity to compose a blog for you to enjoy and get inspired.
Nevertheless, life has full of surprises, one that you could never anticipate or predict. It consists of detour and miscalculated steps, but it is never how you arrived, but rather learning every lessons every step of the way. Remember the woman at the well where Jesus encountered? Although their conversation started by Jesus simply asking for something to drink. A casual interaction that turned into personal where He asked to bring her husband over. Then of course, the woman perceived that Jesus was not an ordinary man but a prophet.
Finally as they continued the conversation, Jesus pointed out that the water she drank from the well is not sufficient enough to quench the thirst of her soul and that He is the only one who could provide the fountain of living water which refers to the spiritual matter. In essence, the woman was challenged in how she have placed her identity and worth in a person who are not always going to meet her spiritual needs. Thus Jesus had illustrated to seek first the kingdom of God for the Master is the only one who could satisfy the cravings of our empty souls for men are also fallible and merely flawed.
