How To Develop Godly Feminine Traits?

hi everyone! Welcome back on anotherpodcast. This is Glennavelle Manarang, your hostess for today, and if you’re here for the first time, I would like to welcome you. In this channel, if I could talk today. I would like to make sure that we prosper in body, spirit, andsoul. And today’s topic is titled, “How to develop your godly feminine traits?”

Femininity, of course is the hot topic of our generation. Nonetheless, everybody just threw it out there. Not knowing exactly the definition of how God perceived women and how to act. Of course, you could tell me that to be a feminine is to be a woman. How to define a woman and people always have this fluid idea of how to define a woman. Let’s not get into it. So, with no further ado. First of all, in developing your godly trait as a feminine is to know your intrinsic value.

I will praise you for I'm fearfully and wonderfully made.

1. Intrinsic Value

Intrinsic value is that just because you are created in the image of God. You do have a value not based on people’s opinion and validation. And if you think that you are incapable of being a woman especially that we have been bombarded what a woman should act and how a feminine female should act in this generation. This is why we are going to look into the truth. The absolute truth which is the Bible, for that is the only place we can truly understand and grasp what femininity is. Because if you’re going to allow people to define what a woman is and how to become a feminine in this world, you are going to have a lot of information out there and there are too much noise. And of course, we are told that to be a woman of virtue, based on my observation is that you have to be a woman of virtue rather. To develop a godly feminine traits.

Virtue is defined as a behavior, showing high moral standards, i.e. decency, morality.

2. A Virtous Woman

In short you have to know your standards. A woman of a godly feminine trait, she knows her virtue. She knows her standard. She is not vacillating between, if everybody goes to the right, therefore; I’m going to the right. If everybody’s going to the left, I’m going to the left . That’s why God said, you must fix your eyes on the cross, do not go to the right. Do not go to the left and fix your eyes on the one prize which is the cross. And therefore, if you’re a woman of virtue, no matter what your culture might dictate to you, what’s right and what’s wrong, if it is not aligned with God’s truth, you must not go there. You cannot compromise in this world, for we are actually not of this world. We are told to be in this world but not out of this world. We are actually warned that in Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a virtuous woman or wife for her worth is far above rubies?”

So, if you want to have a high standard, if people would like to perceived you as a godly feminine woman, you must have a high standard. You must take the high road. You cannot stoop down to people’s level. You cannot act, think, dress and watch things that are not aligned with God’s truth. According to the Bible, “Do not be conformed to this world in Romans 12:2, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Conformity is to adapt. So, if you want to make a difference in this world, and you want to be known as a godly woman in God’s eyes, you must not adapt. You must not conform to the worldly agenda and worldly ideology.

Well, how can you know the difference between worldly and godly? Well, look around your culture, what do they normalize? The world normalizes, what, perversion, lust. It’s all about whatever makes me feel good in the moment. Whatever makes me feel happy in the moment, without knowing that there is hereafter. Without acknowledging, the fact that they have to repent of their sins and get back right with God. They have no fear of God whatsoever. They just do whatever feels good in the moment but they don’t really count the cost. That there is a hereafter. There’s a life after they die. They don’t really think about the consequences of the choices that they’re making because their flesh, of course is what makes me feel good right now. So, if you want to be a high standard woman and to live a godly feminine trait is that you know that whatever God said is renewing of your mind that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The Perfect Will of God

The perfect will of God for you and me, as a woman is that we must be holy and righteous. Holiness doesn’t mean you have to wear a long dress and a turban in your head. It’s about being set apart. You have to be able to differentiate between you and the world. If the person is a godly woman, if I look at you what makes you different from the world? Maybe the way you dress. Maybe the way you act. Maybe the way you present yourself in the world. Maybe the things that you watch. The things that you do not do and the things that you do not participate in. Because if people look at you and you say you’re a Christian, if they don’t really see a difference between me and you, why must I be going to convert to Christianity? If your life is the same as mine, if there is really no transformation because that’s exactly why sanctification is part of being a Christian is that you become saved, one time.

But, it’s on going process, you must be sanctified day in and day out. You must die to your flesh. We must no longer indulge to the old patterns of living because our old man has been dead. Jesus purchased it with His blood, and therefore; you become a new creature in Christ. You could not, you could no longer afford to live like the world. You could not watch things that you shouldn’t watch or go to the places that you shouldn’t have no business of going. Because that’s be conforming, you are going to defile your body, when you’re going to do the things that you’re supposed not to do. And therefore; if you want to be known as a godly feminine trait, these are the things that you must develop overtime.

Characteristics of A Valor Woman

A virtuous woman is known as a woman of valor.

• She is a warrior. She stands in the gap praying for her family and praying to God. A woman that is a valor of virtue is that she is going to plead and to intercede for her family. Because we know that we do have a devil who’s roaring around like a lion who wants to devour our family. His job is to steal, to kill, and destroy.
• And our job as a woman, we do have a power when we stand between the gap of our husbands and our children and our family members.
• Praying and fasting, if perhaps that’s what God asks you to do. Then a virtuous woman is actually going to fight for what belongs to her. You cannot just stand back and let the devil take whatever is yours. You have to fight until the end of your time.
• Because when you consider yourself as a virtuous woman, you are a warrior. She has to stand in the gap and pleading God to save perhaps, if you have unsaved family, unsaved children who are wayward prodigal sons and daughters. If your husband is not saved. We have a duty as a woman, a godly woman of God to stand in the gap and plead God for their souls.

Because what good is a man to gain the whole world but loses his soul? So, therefore; if you think that you can just dilly dally and pretend like, well, my soul of my husband or my family doesn’t really matter. Well, God actually wants a soul to be saved. He said that I give many people a chance. Why do you think God is prolonging the judgment of the world? Because he doesn’t want people to perish. He doesn’t want people to go to hell. He has been given us many chances so that we can get our act together and get right with Him. And therefore; if you want to be known as a godly feminine, you must learn how to pray for your family. Intercede for them. Because the devil sometimes is using our family to sabotage whatever God has called us to do. And of course, it’s obvious that when you have a godly feminine, you have a fear of God. Without God, you couldn’t do without anything.

3. The Fear of God

Because according to Proverbs 31:30, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is fading but a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised.” When you’re younger, of course; you can use your charm to persuade men. Perhaps, in some people, you can use your beauty but over time when you become older that will dissipate. That will deteriorate, but the ones who fear the Lord, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The ones who’ve put God first in her life, she is always a winner and she does not need to prove anything to anyone. Her validation and her worth is not contingent upon people’s approval or applause. Because her worth is found in Her maker. Her identity is not rooted and grounded based on people’s opinion, but it’s actually found in the one who made her.

So, if you are a woman who wants to develop a godly femininity is that you must learn how to fear God. Fear is not to say that you’re afraid of God. But it’s a reverential fear. It is respecting God. It is you’re honoring God of your body. It’s about consecrating your life to God, whatever you do, whether you eat, you drink or whatever you do. You do it onto the Lord and not onto men. And so, if you think that in this world, as a woman is that you do have to make sure that you represent your body before the Lord because your body is not your own.

According to Elizabeth Elliot said, “The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian but the fact that I am a Christian makes a different kind of woman.”

So there is a difference between a Christian woman and who just being a woman. The world have a different ideology of what a woman is and how a woman should act. The world always going to glorify women to be nude and to expose parts of them in order for them to have validation and likes. And that’s the only way for you to have this confidence or to feel good about yourself.

But if you believe that you truly are a follower of Christ, we live a different way. We have a different standard. You are a royal priesthood, a chosen generation, a peculiar nation that God has chosen to be set apart for His own people. And so, if you think that you’re a royalty, you cannot act think and walk like the world because you’re a royalty. If you see people that in royalty. Perhaps, you know in the UK, they have a different protocol to follow. They don’t act like the commoners. They don’t think like the commoners. They have a different set of rules that they have to abide by and therefore; if you think that you’re a Christian, you’re a royal priesthood. You actually belong to a higher kingdom not the kingdom of this world.

Light and Darkness

This kingdom is darkness. This kingdom is full of perversion and full of lustful ways that is crooked. But the kingdom of God is always about light. It’s about the truth. It’s standing on the truth. It’s standing on his ground of what principle He wants you to follow and if you think that you are a follower of Christ, you do have to deny yourself. That’s why Jesus said “If you want to become my disciples, deny yourself. Pick up your cross and follow me.” Which means, denying yourself to your lustful, fleshly nature. When you say denying yourself, deny yourself of the things that you used to love that the world loves. Maybe you used to drink too much or maybe watch things that you shouldn’t watch or go to things that you shouldn’t go. So, denying yourself is about self-control. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that you cannot really manufacture it yourself. It is from the spirit of God that will activate that inside of you. Because without the spirit of God, you and I cannot change ourselves.

That’s why Jesus said, you and I must abide in me. You must abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches, apart from me, you can’t do anything. You cannot bear fruit of the spirit. So, if you really want to hone in and to develop a godly traits of a feminine woman, you must abide in God. By working with Him. By reading His word, by meditating in His word. By praying with Him and asking the Holy Spirit to come into your hearts to change you. There must be a changing of patterns. There must be a changing of lifestyle. When people look at you, they could see the difference between 5 years ago and 10 years when you became a Christian. You cannot be saying that I’m a Christian and they cannot see the fruit of the spirit inside of you. Because you’re actually just a prophesying Christian. If you think that Christianity is just by lip service, God is actually saying that I am not impressed with your sacrifice. I am about your heart. A heart that is broken and a contrite spirit which is God is always looking after. A heart that is broken with your sin. You’re actually grieving when you sin. You’re not happy when you’re sinning.

The difference between Christianity and non-Christians, when Christians make mistakes they grieve about it. They feel sorry about this. They actually ask God for forgiveness. The non-believers, they would say, everybody does it. They justify their bad behavior. So, they go their way without really having the concept of repentance. They don’t really care about getting right with God because they don’t have the capacity to do so because they’re blind and that’s why God said, people are blind. They don’t see that they’re sinning because unless God opens your eyes to His truth and His ways you, don’t know the difference between righteousness and wickedness. And so last but not the least, well actually I’m not sure I have two more. And so the another thing is to pursue purity.

4. Purity

Purity of course is not just about being virginal. Of course, it’s not a funny game for people to say you have to save yourself before getting married. It is not a common advice for people because we are condoning sleeping around. Being promiscuous, you know. You have to test drive before you get married. Now I was not a Christian of course, I was not taught this way to preserve yourself. But then deep down inside you know that when you really sleep around as a woman you feel disgusted about yourself. Because now your value has depreciated. I don’t care what you say, but if you think that you’re an open book and everybody can just have a casual sex with you and you think there’s no consequences of your behavior, that’s why teen pregnancy is rampant. Because they cannot control themselves. Because they cannot be pure until they get married because unfortunately; as I said, it is normalized now in our culture. It’s okay to sleep around. It’s okay to have different kinds of partner and then the problem with that as a woman we become heart broken and we toy with our emotions.

And sometimes the problem with us women is we get too attached emotionally with a person. We think love is sex and sex is love. When in fact that is actually contrary to the truth because we know that sex is not love and love is not sex. If that’s the case, then probably, you look at the birds and they’re humping and you know the bunnies of their kids out there. (Parental advice) That is not love. I mean, animals know, they have to do that but yet that is not love. Love is sacrificial. Love is patient. Love is kind, does not demand its own way. So, if you can just have your purity not just being virginal is about for this is the will of God, your sanctification. That you should know how to possess his own vessel, in sanctification and honor not in passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.

So purity is in 1 Thessalonians 4:3 is about sanctification not just about you know being a virgin. I’m going to save myself when I get married. That’s another way to see it and to look at purity. But on the other hand, God said when you become a Christian, you become sanctified. You become glorified, So what does it mean? You are changed from glory to glory until you become like His son Jesus Christ. Sanctification is a process. It is a lifetime process. It’s about dying to yourself. It’s about forgoing the sinful nature. That’s why Jesus said when a man is actually a new wine skin, you cannot go back to your old wine skin. Because that’s going to burst. There is a parable that Jesus said, “When you have this skin, a new wine skin you have to shed out the old self.” When you become a Christian, you are baptized in the water, you dunk yourself in the water. You immerse yourself in the water, dying to your old self and you come out of that water, you’re a new creature. You are now presenting and saying to the world that I am now a new creation that is following Christ.

Old Nature vs New Nature

So, when you are want to follow Christ as a woman purity is about letting go of the old sinful nature, the old lifestyle, the old habits that no longer will serve you because now you belong to Christ. You are bought at a precious blood of Jesus. Not just with any blood but it is the blood of the Lamb who was slain. Whom the one, who knew no sin, who became sin for you and me. It is not easy to follow Christ. That’s why he said “Count the cost if you want to follow me.” This is why it’s important that you have to surrender yourself. To allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the sins that you have been struggling with because if you’re just going to do this in your own volation, there’s no way! I cannot change with my own self because my wicked nature is sinful. My nature is sinful because of what Adam and Eve did. But you can change by the working of the Holy Spirit .By cooperating in Him.

When God said you shouldn’t do that, you shouldn’t do it. If God said, you can’t go there you shouldn’t go there, and that’s why Moses said, God when your presence is not there, I will not go. But if your presence is there then I will go. Because sometimes there are places that when God said you must not go here or you must not engage with these people. Or you must not really going to be this kind of individual. Because it’s going to corrupt your mind is going to lead you back to your sinful way.

So, be careful who you hang out with especially when you’re a baby Christian. You are prone to become persuaded again. You’re prone to become swayed. So, if you’re a new Christian and you want to walk with the Lord make sure that they’re actually not going to trap you back and trip you up again and doing the same thing . So, when I became a new Christian I had to remove myself from people who used to drink a lot and party a lot and I had to make new friends with the Christian friends who went to church, who studied their Bible, who went to women’s retreat, who was about for my spiritual growth. I had to make a decision right then and there to see whether or not if I really want to make this Christianity work. Then I have to make sure that I’m hanging out with the right people because evil company corrupts good moral. Whoever you hang out with and if they’re dragging you back to sinful ways.

5. Live By Example

Then you are just going to backslide and next thing you know, you’re going to compromise and then we are told that in order for you to have this godly feminine trait as a woman is be an example by your actions. Not just be a talker because talk is cheap. So let no one despise your youth but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12. And so be an example, not just by words but with your action and your lifestyle. You can say “I love God.” That’s what God said, “These people honor me with their lips but their heart is far away from me.” You can acknowledge the fact that you love Jesus, but when people look at your lifestyle, the choices that you’re making, your behavior, does it really align with what you say? This is why, some people, do not really believe in this Christianity and they say you guys are bunch of hypocrites because when I look at your life, you’re actually saying one thing and doing another. And that makes you a liar. And so, that’s why we have to be careful in conduct, in word, in love, in spirit and in faith and purity.

And there are things in this life that we must have a blinders on. That we must always fix our eyes and ponder your feet of where you’re going. You cannot just be swayed by the culture. You cannot be persuaded by the you know this is exactly what the culture, the trend of the world, you cannot go by the trend. God’s principle is perfect. God’s word is truthful. God’s word is absolute. It doesn’t change. He is never going to change no matter what the culture might say or dictate to you and therefore; you must have a principle and you must stand on those principles whether you like it or not. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just what makes you feel good right now. It’s actually for your soul’s sake. That’s why Jesus said “What good is the man who gained the whole world but loses your soul?” What good is it that you follow the crowd but yet in the end you’re going to go die and go to hell? What good is it to follow the world and then you are you’re compromising and then next thing you know Jesus said, you’re a lukewarm Christian. You’re either hot nor cold so, I’m gonna vomit you out of my mouth and therefore if you really want to have this godly feminine traits, you cannot afford to act think and be like the world.

Jesus Paid It All

Because God already purchased you. Not just with any regular blood. He sacrificed his own Self on the cross. He put himself on the line for you and me so that we can have eternity and to have this wonderful connection with Him in all eternity. And that is all that I want you to think about in today’s podcast. Isaiah 49:1 says, I’m going to leave you here, “The Lord has called me from the womb from the matrix of my mother. He has made mention of my name.” So, you are a born again Christian. Matrix is an environment or material in which something develops. So, if you want to get out of the matrix system, you must be set apart. You must be different from the world. You must not condone and compromise of the things of this world that is contrary, that is contradictory of what God said.

So if you have been called out to be the followers of Christ, you must be different and you must be disciplined. Because that’s exactly how people can differentiate between me and you. So, you have to always be diligent and not to be deceived because the roaring lion is the devil. He prowls around, trying to deceive many women especially women today. There are so many influences that is bombarding us constantly, social media. If you look around, we have nothing short of entertainment, nothing short of propaganda, nothing short of what makes us feel good in the moment. Women especially we become so get tricked. We are so persuaded because we’re emotional creatures. That’s why we have to guard our hearts with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life. So, if you want to really see a difference in your life as a woman, you must connect with the vine. You must get to know your Creator. You must really know exactly what He’s about, His standards and the things that He does not tolerate because you cannot love sin. Jesus said “I love the sinner but I hate sin.”

And therefore; it is a high cost. It is a high time for us to get right with God and to make it serious because this is not just a game. This is actually adress rehearsal. If you actually qualified to go to heaven.
